Got Rhythm?
It is human nature to respond to Rhythm: we dance, sing, and make art. Rhythm in visual art can be expressed in the language of lines, shapes and colors. When we listen to music, we channel our emotional responses through mark-making: gestural lines vibrate like sound waves. We respond in our own unique way to rhythm and music--to the beat of our own drum. How do you respond to rhythm, sound and music in your artwork? We are seeking two-dimensional works of art that celebrate the theme of music and reverberate with the rhythm of life. Everything has rhythm, from our heartbeats, to your breath. Show us how you transform musical notes, vocalizations and song lyrics into visual art.

Our Jul 2026 exhibition, Horizons, features tranquil waterscapes. Painters capture the essence of water. Reflect upon the abstract shapes of color and light that shimmer on the surface. Artists in this exhibition blur the lines between representational and abstract approaches. They are open to seeing beyond the horizon, and are keenly aware of subtle shifts in color temperature, mood and atmosphere. At least 20 percent benefits the Alliance for the Great Lakes.

Continuum: At a transitional point in her artistic life, Continuum brings together a range of Neiger’s work, celebrating the evocative, vibrant nature of her style.
Continuum speaks to the evolving nature of her work, built through layered color and imagery that fractures, recalls, and reshapes memory into form.
The act of searching for meaningful form mirrors her personal experience of self-discovery and reflection. Both life and process unfold through a balance of intention and chance, shaping the patterns of memory and perception.

The Horizons Exhibition opens on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026

At The Grove Gallery, we strive to showcase primarily paintings, drawings and prints. Our mission is to serve the community by donating a portion of sales to local non-profits. Recent donations have provided food for the hungry and funds to protect the environment. We provide a safe and trustworthy platform for art lovers to discover new and exciting pieces to add to their collection.
